How Photography Launched Curerest’s Signature Hair Oil

For this shoot, the focus was on launching Curerest’s Signature Hair Oil. The goal was clear: create a versatile, luxury-driven gallery that could work across product pages, paid advertising, and social media campaigns. Every image had to do more than look beautiful, it needed to be a strategic asset, built for performance, flexibility, and long-term brand alignment.
Creative Direction for Premium Haircare Photography
This wasn’t about “taking photos of a bottle.” My role was to create imagery that captured Curerest’s luxury positioning while being practical and versatile enough to work across every platform. The gallery needed to feel high-end, elegant, and timeless, while also delivering images that could be used seamlessly on product pages, in advertising, and across social media.
The bottle itself was stunning but also tricky:
- Frosted glass that turned clear when wet.
- Fine white typography that risked disappearing under strong lighting.
By carefully controlling light, I kept the text crisp, the oil’s golden colour true, and the overall look clean and elegant.
To increase versatility, I designed shots with negative space for campaign overlays and captured close-ups of oil drops and drips to add movement, texture, and that unmistakable sense of luxury.
