The biggest thing that gets in the way of good photography is uncertainty. Not knowing what to prepare, what you’ll receive, or whether the photographer actually understands what you’re trying to do.
Every step below is designed to remove that. By the time shoot day arrives, every decision has already been made and every detail confirmed. The work is calm and focused because the groundwork has been laid.
Most of our clients return. The process below is why, but so is what happens after: because we’re already across your brand, your product range, and your visual direction, every future shoot is faster, more consistent, and easier to brief.

1. CONFIRM YOUR BOOKINGÂ
Your booking is confirmed with a signed agreement and a 50% deposit. Once that’s in place, you’ll receive everything you need to get started, including a link to complete your Creative Blueprint.
2. THE CREATIVE BLUEPRINT
The Creative Blueprint is a guided framework that clarifies direction, priorities, and practical requirements before we plan anything visually. It covers your brand, your customer, how you need to use the imagery, and any key references or preferences. You can complete it independently or we can work through it together on a call, whichever suits you.
3. VISUAL STORYBOARD
Using your Creative Blueprint as the foundation, we develop a Visual Storyboard, an outline of the planned imagery, styling approach, set considerations, and any key preparation details. This is where the creative direction is confirmed before shoot day, so nothing is left to chance on the day itself.
4. SHOOT DAY
Shoot days at Mindful Creatives are structured and well-prepared. Everything is planned before the shoot begins, sets are built, direction is confirmed, and the focus is entirely on creating imagery that is visually compelling and practical to use across your channels.

For brand portrait sessions, this step includes direction on posing, expression, and styling throughout. Clients are guided through the session so the process feels natural rather than performative.
5. TEST EDIT AND SELECTIONS
Before final editing begins, you’ll receive a test edit applied to one or more images so you can review the overall direction and confirm it’s right. If additional images are captured beyond the agreed Visual Storyboard, you’ll also receive a selections gallery with the option to license additional images if needed.

Brand portrait clients receive a Selections Gallery within 7 business days of shoot day. The gallery remains active for 60 days. Additional portraits are available to license at $150 + GST each under a Standard License.
6. FINAL GALLERY
Your final edited gallery is delivered digitally, formatted and organised as specified in your Creative Blueprint. Images are ready to use across your website, campaigns, and marketing materials. Your gallery is hosted online and securely archived for 12 months.

Product photography galleries are delivered within 14 business days of shoot day.
Final brand portrait galleries are delivered within 7 business days of receiving your selections.
7. ONGOING WORK AND WHAT COMES NEXT
Once your project wraps, we remain available for any questions or guidance you need. But the bigger opportunity is what comes next.
Many of our product clients work with us on an ongoing basis, whether that’s a seasonal shoot schedule, a new product launch, or a steady cadence of fresh imagery to keep their content current. Because your Creative Blueprint, visual direction, and brand context are already established, ongoing shoots require less briefing, less setup time, and consistently stronger results.
