the problem
Mia from That Marketing Girl came to us in 2021 wanting to shake up her image. TMG had been in business for 3 years, grown like champions and was in dire need of a glow up.
Mia wanted her brand to represent not just herself (the O.G), but the team she had grown over the years. The brand needed to ooze colour, personality, good time vibes and show that these ladies mean serious business.
Challenge accepted!

We always do a little happy dance when a client wants to tackle a comprehensive branding project – tis massive, but…tis worth it!
We put our favourite thinking hats on and got to work. Industry specific research is always first on the to do list as knowledge is power friend.
Before long, we had isolated That Marketing Girls pain points and came up with creative, visual, and internal process solutions that would have the TMG team popping bottles.
Along with any good comprehensive branding exercise, there was a website that needed refreshing, email overhauls, stationery zhuzhing, processes to be re-jigged and a whole lotta’ other awesome tasks.

step 1
branding
We started TMG’s branding exercise with our famous brand questionnaire (not actually famous, but we think it’s pretty kwel).
The questionnaire helped us to pinpoint key aspects of Mia’s business, and helped her to communicate with us her vision, goals, market and values.
This process is a part of our deep dive session, we use this time to educate ourselves, research and essentially merge as one – new friend’s alert!
We then create collaborative mood boards together – brain dumping all our big ideas and plans. Once this stage had the tick of approval, we commenced phase “get all arty and designy” – official term.
Knowing what made That Marketing Girl tick – we got stuck into creating TMG’s logo visuals first, we then moved onto the brand graphics. TMG’s brand guide was then last on the list as it is a visual summary of all that we have created together. The brands “Bible” if you will.
What was the end result, drum roll ploise…
An awesome, purposeful brand that is backed with drive and vision. TMG’s brand glow up is the perfect mix of all of Mia’s thoughts and ideas, our crazy thoughts, and ideas – mashed together to perfectly visually communicate with their audience how amazingly tremendous That Marketing Girl really is!

website
Much like our branding exercise – we start off any website project with a questionnaire. This time our questionnaire’s purpose is to drill down into your pain points with your current website (if you have one) and explore all the awesome additions and changes you want to make to your new website. It also helps us to determine if you are wanting to create a website from scratch or if template is the jam to your scone.
In TMG’s case, we created their website from an existing template. This option is awesome for any business that wants an amazing new website, without burning too much of a hole in your back pocket.
We performed a website audit, which is a process that we will perform prior to the design and development stage, this helps us evaluate your current website, to help identify any gaps, assess brand consistency and your customers overall journey; from search, to engagement to a lead.
We presented x2 website themes to TMG; these themes were meticulously selected to do their new brand proud. After their preferred option was selected the website graphics and building process began.

business management solution
After many chitty chats back and forth with Mia, it became obvious to us that she (and her team) were spending too much of their valuable time in admin…seriously, don’t we all!
We had the perfect solution for her; and it came in the form of a little business management solution software we like to call Dubsado, heard of it? No? Crikey pull up a pew.
Dubsado came to our personal rescue about a year ago, and we have been singing its praises ever since – so much so, we have integrated it into our website building process as the more business owners we met, we realised that many (if not all) had the same pain points – admin is a dementor of their time (Harry Potter reference for those of you playing at home) – in other words it was sucking the hours out of each day.
Dubsado’s sole purpose on this Earth is to give you back time – it handles client bookings, responds to emails for you, invoices, projects manages, and we are sure it would bring you coffee if you ask nicely.
The TMG girls were finding that they were repeatedly answering FAQ’s, typing lots of emails back and forth with prospective clients and sending through repetitive on-board questions. By integrating Dubsado, all of this is now a thing of the past – super awesome right!

email marketing
No website is complete without awesome email flows. Often this is a forgotten element when designing websites – not with us friend.
TMG needed a kick ass welcome email flow to be implemented into their website via MailChimp. In this particular case we created a x2 email series automation.
The welcome email series is perfect for setting a great impression and syncing this with your website sign up form.
This has now provided personalisation within her businesses communication and engaged with her new audience professionally.

print communication
TMG’s new brand was ready for a pre-launch just before Christmas.
What better way to allude to a new start in 2022 than by sending out Christmas cards dipped in their new branding.
It stirred up curiosity with TMG’s current clients and gave a taste test of what’s to come – spoiler, it was very well received – as expected.
